Gabou Lulu was founded in May 2000.

The location is in Azabudai, Minato Ward, in an area commonly known as Spain Village. There is a dead-end street if you go in beside the famous restaurant Chianti, and it is located at the back of the street. We started out in a room in a stylish white wooden building. One of the two rooms was used as an atelier and the other as a gallery. I was able to work in a wonderful environment and held several solo exhibitions. The photo on the left is from when I held a "Photo Exhibition on T-shirts," in which I printed photographs on T-shirts. This area is also frequented by cats, and the photo was taken when a familiar black and white cat happened to be visiting. It is no longer in this location, but it is a fond memory for me.

Although it is called an art studio, it is a studio that focuses on both photography and painting. Photography is Yoshiaki Maeda's field, and painting is Mari Maeda's field. They are working hard on creating each of their works on a daily basis.
